DMCA Copyright Policy

Commz respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. Section 512.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on Commz infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent with all of the following information:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it, such as a URL, community name, message location, screenshot, or other identifying information.
Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice containing:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to federal court jurisdiction.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.

Repeat Infringer Policy

We maintain a policy of terminating accounts that repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others. Repeated infringement may include three or more valid DMCA takedown notices, or a single notice involving egregious infringement at our discretion.

False Claims

Under 17 U.S.C. Section 512(f), a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
